Deputy Permanent Observer at the UNESCAP, Dr Jean-Pierre Verbiest, attended the second Asia-Pacific Regional Review of the Implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration on 4-6 February 2025.
On 19-21 November 2024, the Embassy represented by Deputy Permanent Observer at UNESCAP, Dr Jean-Pierre A. Verbiest, participated in the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on the Beijing +30 review. This United Nations Conference was attended by over 250 non-governmental organizations.
On 31 January 2025, Charge d’Affaires a.i. Dr Jean-Pierre A. Verbiest attended the opening ceremony of the “Prince Mahidol Award Conference 2025 (PMAC 2025)”. The conference was held under the theme “Harnessing Technologies in the Age of AI to build a Healthier World”. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirinthorn opened the conference. The opening ceremony was also an opportunity to listen to the Prince Mahidol Award Laureates.
On 3rd December 2024, the Diplomatic Corps and senior Thai Officials were requested to be in attendance at The Ceremonial Parade of the Royal Guards and the Ceremony of Taking the Oath of Allegiance, as part of the celebrations for HM The King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary. Charge d’ Affaires a.i. Dr Jean-Pierre A. Verbiest attended on behalf of the Sovereign Order of Malta.
As part of the celebrations for HM The King Sixth Cycle Birthday Anniversary, a Royal Barges Procession was organized on 27 October 2024. Charge d’Affaires a.i. Dr Jean-Pierre Verbiest attended. The occasion was also an opportunity to network with members of the Diplomatic Corps, Government Ministers, Members of the Privy Council, and senior officials from different ministries
On 25 September 2024, Counsellor Dr Jean-Pierre A. Verbiest attended a reception on board the Italian Navy ship ITS Montecuccoli on a port call in Thailand
On the Auspicious Occasion of H.M. The King's 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary, Charge D' Affaires a.i. Dr Jean-Pierre A. Verbiest attended several official events.
Charge d'Affaires a.i. Mr Wolfgang Bertelsmeier took part in the planting of over 100 trees by Members of the Diplomatic Corps to honor H.M. The King's Auspicious 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary at the new King Rama IX Park.
On 3-5 September 2024, the Embassy participated in the 2024 Asia-Pacific Youth Camp for disabled organized by the Thai members of the Order in Pattaya City, Thailand.
