On 28 October 2025, HE Ambassador Dr Michael Mann met with Mrs Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director General of the European Affairs Department, and Mrs Somrudee Poopornanake, Deputy Director General, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Counsellor Dr Jean-Pierre Verbiest also joined the meeting. Various international and regional issues, as well as the activities of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Thailand and the region, were discussed.
Thailand and the Sovereign Order of Malta established diplomatic relations in 1974, and maintain a cordial partnership centered on humanitarian cooperation, with particular focus on medical assistance, disaster relief, and social aid through collaboration between the Order’s charitable organizations and Thai institutions.
