On 19-21 November 2024, the Embassy of the Order of Malta to Thailand – represented by Deputy Permanent Observer at UNESCAP, Dr Jean-Pierre A. Verbiest – participated in the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on the Beijing +30 review. This United Nations Conference was attended by over 250 non-governmental organizations.
The Conference reviewed the current and emerging challenges, good practices lessons learned and priority actions required to achieve gender equality and empower women, an area vital to the realization of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Substantial progress in the Asia-Pacific regions was reported by most countries.
