On 7 November 2023, Charge d’Affaires a.i. Dr Jean-Pierre Verbiest attended an introductory reception at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand for the new Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand H.E. Mr Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara.

Also present were H.E. Mr Jakkapong Sangmanee, Deputy Foreign Minister, and H.E. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as the Advisors to the ministerial team and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

The reception was a good opportunity to hear about the new foreign affairs priorities of the newly established government following elections in May 2023.
