On 19 January 2024, Sovereign order of Malta’s Charge d’Affaires a.i. Dr Jean-Pierre Verbiest attended a special “sustainability” talk by Columbia University Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs, President of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Solutions Network entitled “Towards a Green ASEAN”.
The special talk was organized by the Department of ASEAN Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was opened by H.E. Mr Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.
On 28 February 2024, Charge d'Affaires a.i. Dr Jean-Pierre Verbiest attended a commemorative event on Ukraine organized by the Embassy of Ukraine, the Delegation of the European Union to Thailand and the Embassy of Belgium at the Goethe Institute in Bangkok.
On 19-21 February 2024, Charge d'Affaires a.i. Dr Jean-Pierre Verbiest participated to a study visit to the Chiang Rai Province organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.
On 24 February 2024, Charge d'Affaires a.i. Dr Jean-Pierre Verbiest, met with Mrs Somrudee Poopornanake, Acting Director General of the European Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
