On 14 February 2024, Charge d’Affaires a.i., Dr Jean-Pierre Verbiest, met with the Acting Director General of the European Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs Somrudee Poopornanake. Topics discussed included progress in the review of the proposed Postal Agreement between the Government of Thailand and the Sovereign Order of Malta, as well as proposed events to celebrate the 40 years Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Order of Malta. At the end of the meeting, Dr Verbiest presented a collection of Order of Malta postal stamps to the Acting Director General.
