On Friday 10th May 2024, Charges d’Affaires a.i. Dr Jean-Pierre Verbiest attended the Royal Ploughing Ceremony at the Phra Meru Grounds (Sanam Luang) in Bangkok.
The annual ancient Royal Ploughing Ceremony marking the beginning of the rice planting season was presided over by their Majesties the King and Queen. The Royal Thai Government, the Diplomatic Corps and senior Officials were in attendance.

On 19-21 November 2024, the Embassy represented by Deputy Permanent Observer at UNESCAP, Dr Jean-Pierre A. Verbiest, participated in the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on the Beijing +30 review. This United Nations Conference was attended by over 250 non-governmental organizations.
