On 13 December 2025, The Assumption Cathedral in Bangkok hosted a service in honor of the late HM Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother. The mass was conducted by Cardinal Francis Xavier Kriengsak in the presence of the Apostolic Nuncio The Most Rev. Peter B. Wells, bishops from various parts of Thailand, many dignitaries, and members of the Diplomatic Corps. The Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta was represented by Charge d’Affaires a.i. Wolfgang Bertelsmeier.
